We collect your personal data through the following means:

  • By subscribing to our newsletters

We collect your personal data and information that you provide to us when you subscribe to our newsletters.

We remind you that, through the Website, you can request the periodic sending of our newsletters or any other information about Pladur®. This request can be submitted through the form included in the Website for this purpose. In both cases, upon receiving your request, the data you provide will be incorporated into our databases and you will become a registered user of Pladur®. If you have sent an email requesting our newsletters, you will receive a reply email in which you may be asked to provide additional information about your preferences, as well as additional personal information, necessary for sending the information and/or our requested newsletters.

  • By requesting information through the Website, SMS, WhatsApp, Chat or by phone

We collect your personal data in the event you contact us to request information of any nature through the Website, SMS, Whatsapp, Chat or by phone, about Pladur® products and/or products of third parties.

The data collected are as follows: Name and surname(s), email address, telephone number.

  • By registering as a Registered User of the Website

We collect your personal data and information that you provide to us when you register as a Registered User of the Website when this is required to access certain pages of the Website.

Information marked with the “*” symbol must be provided in order for us to fulfil the purposes of the processing.

The personal data collected are the following: location, your name and surname(s), province, personal or professional address, personal or professional email address, personal or professional mobile phone number or other telephone number, sector of activity, company, message or other personal information or contact information you provide.

We may also ask you for comments, suggestions or other information related to the Website, our products or services, or our company. Other specific types of information may be requested in connection with contests, prize draws, other promotional offers or other marketing activities, including the posting of text, video or audio content.

We do not collect or process any special categories of personal data. Among other things, we do not process personal data of racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious and/or philosophical beliefs or other beliefs of a similar nature, trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, health status, sex life or sexual orientation

3. Purposes of using personal data

Depending on the Website services or features that you wish to enjoy at any given time, we will process your personal data for the following purposes:

  1. To manage your access and use of the Website, as well as the administration, development and control of the same. The basis for this processing is the formalisation, management, development and control of the pre-contractual and contractual relationship with you.
  2. To manage your registration and use of the Website as a Registered User. The basis for this processing is the formalisation, management, development and control of the pre-contractual and contractual relationship with you.
  3. To manage any queries you send us (for example, through this website, SMS, WhatsApp, Chat or phone call). The basis for this processing is Pladur’s® legitimate interest in responding to your requests and providing an appropriate user service.
  4. To manage your participation in contests, prize draws and your access to other promotional offers chosen by you. The basis for this processing is the formalisation, management, development and control of the pre-contractual and contractual relationship with you.
  5. To send commercial communications by telematic and electronic means about products and services of a similar nature to those contracted by you. The basis for this processing is the legitimate interest of Pladur®.
  6. To conduct marketing and advertising activities, such as sending you whatsapps, SMS, chats, eMailings or other general direct marketing information about a selection of our brands, those of our affiliates and/or Distributors, based on your preferences, with whom we conduct joint promotions or programmes in which you might be interested. These may be sent by email, mail and text message. For this purpose, we may analyse your profile as a registered user of the Website and combine the personal data you submit with other personal data we have collected about you for the same purposes from other sources, even if you have provided us with your information elsewhere or through other means. These sources are: events, fairs, conferences, social networks (LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter) and professional conferences among others. The basis for this processing is your consent.

We will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described that are not already covered by this Privacy Policy, except on the basis of applicable legal permission. In any case, before using your personal data for purposes other than those indicated, we will inform you about such change through this Privacy Policy. In the case of consent-based activities, we will not use your personal data for these new purposes without first obtaining your consent. 

4. Consent for general marketing activities

Pursuant to foregoing section 3.vi), the processing of your personal data for general direct marketing purposes will require your express consent, which you have the right to revoke at any time.

Whether we process your data under section 3.v) or under section 3. vi), if at any time you decide not to receive any commercial or promotional information from us, you may, free of charge and without providing any justification, opt out of any direct marketing campaign and object to the future processing of your personal data for such purposes. You may do this by sending us an email to dpr@pladur.com and mentioning “opt-out” in the subject line of your e-mail. Alternatively, you can use the opt-out procedure provided in any promotional message you receive from us.

Please note that opting out of receiving promotional messages from us will not prevent you from receiving information regarding any contract you have entered into with us.

5. Automated decision making

We will not employ automated decision-making processes, including profiling, except as authorised by applicable law. In this case, we will inform you of the justification for the decision and the significance and expected consequences such processing has for you.

6. Disclosure of personal data and transfer of personal data to third countries

In general, except in the cases mentioned in the following paragraphs, we will not pass on your personal data to third parties, unless we are legally obliged to do so.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, for proper management of the services offered through the Website, your data may be disclosed to collaborating entities, Pladur® distributors or service providers, such as:

  1. Service providers of any kind used by Pladur® for the management, administration, control and maintenance of the Website.
  2. Other data processors providing services to Pladur®, who will process your personal data under our instructions and responsibility.
  3. Social network operators in the terms set out in section 7 hereunder.
  4. The Distributors and Third Parties whose services and/or products are contracted by the User through the Website. On accessing the Website, on entering your location on the Website, when you fill in any form where you are asked for personal data or when you send us an email asking to receive newsletters and/or information of any kind, all personal data and information collected will be re-routed to the Distributors and/or Third Parties with whom you may contact and/or formalise your orders. These parties will process your personal data in accordance with their own Privacy Policies, without Pladur® assuming any liability for the processing of your data by them. In this regard, we recommend that you carefully read the privacy notices included on the websites of these Distributors and Third Parties.

Any of the entities indicated in foregoing sections I. to IV. may be located outside the European Economic Area in countries that the European Commission does not consider to guarantee an adequate level of protection of personal data. In this case, Pladur® guarantees that appropriate measures will be taken in accordance with applicable national and European data protection legislation. 7. Sharing on social networks

We make use of a social plug-in to allow you to share information from the Website through the Share buttons.
For data protection reasons, we have deliberately chosen not to use direct social networking plug-ins on our Website.

Instead, we use an alternative technical solution that allows you to decide whether and when to transmit data to social network operators. Accordingly, when you visit the Website the data are never automatically transmitted to a social network. Your web browser will connect to the social network servers only when you actively click on the appropriate button, i.e. if you click on elements and then click on the social network icon, you are giving your consent for your browser to connect to the social network servers and send usage data to the operator of that social network, irrespective of whether or not you are subscribed to that social network.

We have no influence on the nature or extent of the data that social networks may collect. 8. Links to third-party websites

In some parts of this Website we may provide links to third party websites, which are not subject to this Privacy Policy. These links are provided for your convenience; however, you should be aware that we do not control these third parties or their websites and that these third parties will have a different privacy notice applicable to information collected from you when you visit these third-party websites. We recommend that you carefully read the privacy notices of all websites before providing any personally identifiable information.

9. Storage duration

The personal data provided by the User, as well as those generated or provided during the use of the services offered through the Website, will be stored during the time that you access the Website and/or during the time that the Registered User’s account is active and, subsequently, will be blocked during the legal limitation periods. Once the legal limitation period has passed, your personal data will be erased.

The foregoing will not affect the processing that Pladur® may conduct with the personal data used for marketing and advertising purposes under the terms established in this Privacy Policy, which will be stored until you indicate otherwise.

10. Safety and confidentiality

We have introduced technical and organisational measures in accordance with standard industry practice to ensure an appropriate level of security for the personal data processed. However, security requires efforts from all players involved. Accordingly, we suggest that you contribute to these efforts by taking appropriate security measures yourself, including using strong passwords and maintaining the confidentiality of all usernames and passwords (if any). 

11. Children's data

This Website is not intended for or targeted at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us at dpr@pladur.com. 

12. Your rights

You may, at any time, exercise your rights to access, rectification and, where applicable, erasure of your personal data. You may also object to the processing or request a restriction of the processing and exercise the right to data portability (as applicable), pursuant to applicable data protection legislation. These rights can be exercised free of charge by sending an e-mail to dpr@pladur.com, attaching a copy of your identity card, passport or other proof of identity, or by writing to Pladur Gypsum, S.A.U., Ctra. de Andalucía Km 30,200, 28343 Valdemoro, Madrid, Spain.

We also inform you that you have the right to revoke your consent given at any time by writing to the addresses indicated above. This will not affect the legality of the processing based on the consent given prior to such revocation.

In any case, if you consider that your data protection rights have been violated and/or that we are not complying with our privacy obligations, you may file a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es).
